Ice-cano

Macro view
of a mammoth
idea.

2016

Bubbling colors of morning
invite the day's imagination.

2015

Early morning light mixes
with storm clouds,
warning of the day.

2014

Read my latest blog about how we relate and why it's so important to consider the definition of our state. Does that person interest us? Are they worthy of connection? Who will we integrate with? More importantly, why should we care?

Spiky Leaves

Spiky leaves
penetrate the frame.

2016

Clouds rise above
the light of man.

2015

This iconic image
of wealth, abundance, and light
sits in stark contrast
to the cost of grains.

Last Rights

We all have the right to live and die with dignity and authenticity. Each day we increase or decrease the distance between now and no more. "One more day closer to death?" This is not inevitable. What I do today may bring me two days closer to death or it might push it one day further away. Fate is in the now, not the distant tomorrow. How I live today affects how many days I have left to live.

swirl together.

touch the mountain peaks.

The gentle hand that created this
perfect example of the foamy art
belongs to my good friend
Annee.

The Magical Image of Religion

With the beauty of nature all around,
there are moments
we cannot help but
connecting it to the icons of faith.

Sun Light

Sunlit lamp.

2016

Not all flowers
require an array
of color to be
beautiful.

2015

As Black Friday fades into memory,
let us not forget the
early morning warriors plight.

2014

When I die, I will experience
you
seeing this.

stands above
the others.

A classic sunrise
with a soaring bird
high above the mountain.

2015

The happy scare-crow's
load of sweet pumpkins
travels homeward.

2014

The delicate, temporal leaf of yesterday
creates a mask, etched
in the permanent concrete of tomorrow.

Deep Color

Deep red and orange
streak the dark sky.

2016

This is the 13th hole
of the Frisbee golf course
that bares the name
of the inventor of
the Frisbee.

2015

If you're a deer,
I hope you
get the message.

2014

This is my little girl.

She has one aim:
attack that stream of
sweet, refreshing water.

Camouflaged Leaf

Asphalt hides
the fallen leaf.

2016

This classic red car
seems to sport
a whale face.

2015

It's as if these leaves
are dipped in
grape-juice.

Waste of Effort

So much of our world is made,
used,
discarded,
and forgotten.

The crescent moon rises
above the mountain peak.

when you look closely.

Color Change

Colors change.

2016

As the sunrises
into the morning sky,
this lamp still
shines bright.

2015

This brilliant purple
seems unnatural.
It is.

A close up of crystal ice
in winter's wonderland.

Single Red

Single rose
sticks out.

2016

Cloud streaks rise high above
the cold, dark mountain peak
early in the morning.

Tiny Patch

Tiny patch of calm.

2016

The colors of autumn vary.
But sometimes,
they're beautiful
in their monotones.

2015

The color of the concrete,
the embedded rock
and dying leaf atop leaf
is crowed by
the deep color
of autumn.

2014

The ability for a computer to recreate
the beauty of man's hand will
only increase with time.

However, the capacity to create
an algorithm to discover this fraud
will follow.

Green Spiral

Spiraling green
leads to heaven.

2016

Passing clouds color
the sky as the sun rises
behind the mountain peak.

2015

How beautiful this must look
to a hungry squirrel.

2014

This is the season when we say
goodbye to the green and yellow,
goodbye to the brown and red,
and trade it all in
for a blanket of white.

Color Wave

Golden color cloud wave.

2016

The soft curves of
classic cars warm
the lover's soul.

2015

The shape and color,
the spines and lines ...
I see a critter emerge
from the flowering foam.

Symbols in Conflict

The power pole looks like a cross, next to a stop sign, slightly beneath a flag. The narrative here is simple, but the meaning depends on which direction you read it. (Left to right) Should we stop religion from taking over America? (Or right to left) Is America the religion that stops the world?
